I am an urban/regional economist with interests in resources, rural development, and health. Over the last 10 years, I have published 13 peer review articles in influential peer review journals as well as one policy article that was reviewed by the editor. Additionally, I have 4 nearly finished manuscripts in preparation for submission to journals. On the policy side, I have been primary or co-primary investigator to funded proposals exceeding 1.8 million dollars. This external funding has resulted in more than 30 completed reports at the Institute of Social and Economic Research addressing extremely important questions relevant to the state of Alaska ranging from fiscal policy and state economic forecasts to obesity and the effect of technology on physical activity. This                    provides details on previously published work, current research, and future direction.
