Since my arrival at The University of Alaska Anchorage, I have had a 1/1 teaching load. It has typically consisted of an Urban/Regional economics class and a Health Economics course which I have created. Prior to that, I taught a 2/2 load as a graduate student. Those classes tended to be Principles of Microeconomics, Money and Banking, and Principles of Macroeconomics. I find teaching extremely rewarding as it affords me the opportunity to expose students to the areas of economics I find most intriguing. I also enjoy guiding them through writing empirical papers in my applied classes and helping through the non-linear path that is research. In addition to classroom teaching, I give a considerable number of public speeches and presentations where I interact with people from different backgrounds and knowledge bases. Below you can find syllabi for my Health Economics and Urban and Regional Economics classes.
